The facilities were clean, the room was small but nice and the shower was hot and good water pressure. The garden where you can eat breakfast or relax in the evening was lovely with amazing views over Funchal. The pool area was nice and plenty of seating. The hotel is about 25-30 minutes walk down to the centre but it is a very steep hill, not recommended for families with young children or people with mobility issues. There are places to eat closer to the hotel but they all involve walking up and down very steep hills.
