Our recent five-day stay at a&o London Docklands Riverside was profoundly disappointing in every regard except for its convenient location. The property, currently in a state of transition, appears to be severely understaffed, leading to abysmal service quality. Housekeeping occurred only once throughout our entire stay, which is simply unacceptable for any hospitality establishment. The first room we were assigned had a malfunctioning toilet, and though the staff eventually relocated us, the replacement room was hardly an improvement. Adding insult to injury, we paid £200 for parking we never received because the garage was inoperable for the entire duration of our visit. What was once a Hilton-standard property has devolved into what feels more like a budget hostel. The beds were painfully outdated, the rooms reeked with unpleasant odors, and every element exuded neglect. Even at £50 per night, it felt like throwing money away. You’re far better off spending a bit more elsewhere — at least then you’ll enjoy proper service, comfort, and peace of mind. Overall, this was one of the most dreadful lodging experiences I’ve ever encountered, and I strongly discourage anyone from booking here.
